The bondage suit

This is a flagship piece worn by Martin Gore on tours, for press conferences and television performances. Notice that the bondage follows the ribcage’s shape and underlines the punk look.

Seen from 1988 onwards, this outfit was worn on the World Violation tour in 1990 and on the Devotional tour in 1993. Marrtin Gore wore this outfit so many times that the list is exhaustive.

Loved by fans, the outfit was gifted to Sara Freegard by Martin Gore as a token of their friendship. The guitarist’s emblematic outfit, this is a seminal work in Martin Gore’s visual and artisitic orientations and indirectly Depeche Mode’s.

The outfit comes with used plectrums as well as an x-ray type image with asian writing on the back, no doubt one of the many lucky charms the musician wore for concerts.

An essential piece in Martin Gore’s œuvre, this is a major outfit in Depeche Mode’s history. Each of the proposed outfits shows signs of its use on-stage (wear, sweat, make-up…) and, on top of the creators’ and/or makers’ guarantee, show that it has been worn, unless otherwise specified.
